Steve Charnovitz

Steve charnovitz is the Associate Professor of Law at George Washington University, where he teaches international trade law and international business transactions at George Washington University Law School. Before joining the faculty, he practiced law at WilmerHale in Washington. Earlier, he was the first director of the Global Environment & Trade Study at Yale University and the Policy Director of the (US) Competitiveness Policy Council. He has written extensively on international trade law, multilateral environmental governance, the International Labor Organization, and the role of civil society in international affairs. He is coauthor of Global Warming and the World Trading System (2009) and contributed a chapter on labor and environmental issue to Restarting Fast Track (1998).
