Université Libre de Bruxelles. A researcher and an activist, the author holds a PhD in social sciences and has specialized in issues relating to poverty, inequality and social development in globalization. She works with Global Social Justice, a social network (www.globalsocialjustice.eu), and Imodev (Institut du monde et du développement), Paris. She published Mondialisation et Pauvreté, L’Harmattan, Paris, 2002, as well as other books in English and Dutch in these fields.
